In Rhodochaete parvula Thuret (Rhodophyceae, Bangioideae), the author describes the sexual organs still unknown, the fécondation, the development of the zygote that produces the formation of a single carpospore. The caryological study proves that the meiosis does not occur before the formation of the carpospore and that it is diploid; theorical consequences of this result are examined.
The knowledge of the sexual reproduction of Rhodochaete allows to precise the systematic position, still doubtful, of this alga, and to try, by analogy, an interpretation of the reproductory organs of Compsopogon and Kyliniella.

Chez le Rhodochaete paruula Thuret (Rhodophycée, Bangioidée), l’auteur décrit les organes sexués encore inconnus, la fécondation, le développement du zygote qui aboutit à la formation d’une seule carpospore. L’étude caryologique montre que la méiose n’a pas lieu avant la formation de celle-ci, qui est donc diploide ; les conséquences théoriques de ce résultat sont examinées.
La connaissance de la reproduction sexuée du Rhodochaete permet de préciser la position systématique encore douteuse de cette algue, et de tenter, par analogie, une interprétation des organes reproducteurs connus des genres Compsopogon et Kylinieilla.
